A child in a school

\nA quick and easy solution

\nThe loneliness

\nHe who thinks differently

Can we conform him
\nUsing a Gun
\nTo be like us<\/p>\n
Or – should we just
\nGet rid of him
\nWash our hands
\nWalk away<\/p>\n
With him gone
\nWe now have
\nOne less thing to worry about

The worry we had before
\nThe threat of that which is different
\nMoving into our world
\nWe now have to carry
\nForever
\nIn our guts

How strange
\nHow amazingly strange
\nThe human mind works<\/p>\n
I wonder?<\/p>\n
If there were
\nNo Guns
\nNo spears
\nNo clubs

Would we hurt each other
\nAlong other paths?
\nWould we find other ways to “lash out”
\nAt that which is outside us
\nIn an attempt
\nIn a hopeless attempt
